Seed Germination & Viability Policy – Seed Canary

At Seed Canary, we take pride in offering high-quality cannabis genetics and are committed to ensuring our customers receive viable, reliable seeds. All seeds we offer are sourced from reputable breeders and are expected to meet or exceed a 90% germination rate.

To maintain high standards, we require our suppliers to test germination rates before distribution, and we conduct independent viability tests upon receiving new stock.

Important Notes for Growers:

  • Seeds are living products, and while we take every step to ensure their quality, germination results can be affected by many factors outside of our control—such as environment, handling, and germination method.

  • We strongly recommend ordering MORE seeds than needed to account for natural variation or user error.

  • Due to the nature of seeds, we cannot offer guarantees, but we’re happy to look into any valid concerns.

If You Experience Germination Issues:

If you’re located in a region where germination is legal and have trouble with a seed order, we encourage you to reach out. We’re here to help and will evaluate each case individually.

To initiate a review, please provide via Email:

  • Your order number

  • The strain(s) and quantity that failed to germinate

  • A brief description of your germination method

  • Photos or video evidence of the failed attempt(s)

📌 Note: Germination concerns must be submitted within 40 days of purchase, and all seeds from the affected pack must have been germinated.

Policy Reminders:

  • Freebie seeds are not eligible for replacement.

  • Replacements cannot be issued for seeds that were already sent as replacements.

  • We do not offer refunds. All sales are final.

  • If you experience ongoing germination issues across multiple strains or breeders, we may conclude the problem lies with your method rather than the seeds, and reserve the right to deny further replacements.

Please keep in mind: Seed size, shape, or color may vary. Some high-quality seeds, especially from indoor-bred lines, may appear small or pale—this does not indicate poor viability. However, green, soft seeds may be immature.

We value your success and will always do our best to support you when issues arise—provided there’s a fair and transparent process in place.
